Osaka is the second largest city in Japan. It is located in the Kansai region. Osaka is known for being a “merchant city” – trade has remained its main business.

The weather in Osaka is mild in winter and hot and humid in summer.

There are two international airports near Osaka. It is also possible to travel to nearby countries (China, Korea) by ferries from Osaka. It is one of the most important harbors of the country.

There are a lot of universities in the area, among which Osaka University, Kansai University, Osaka Institute of Technology, Osaka City University, Osaka University of Economics …

Like all big cities, Osaka has a lot to offer (parks, attraction parks, entertainement centers, art galleries …). It is famous, though, for the shopping, and also for food – it is also known as Japan’s “kitchen”.
